Cherry and Purplehearth
It's wanderfull turning cherry,
The smell, the arrogance of the fiber,
the hardest knob i found till now it was cherry one.
often make jump my gouge...
The purplehearth pieces is bigger then the hollow cherry,
to force to push the purple entered....
is 19 cm diameter, 11 cm high...

It's Maple,
Grow in the appennino reason, behind my door...
it's 48 cm large, for 33 Wide and 23 cm high with the base...
The base is Holly Wood...Quercis gender...

Laburnum, commonly called golden chain, is a genus of two species of small trees in the subfamily Faboideae of the pea family Fabaceae. The species are Laburnum anagyroides—common laburnum and Laburnum alpinum—alpine laburnum. They are native to the mountains of southern Europe from France to the Balkan Peninsula
It was a man name Sbuccino, who ave me this larrnum pieces,
This wood in laburnum alpinum which is more bright then the anagyroides kind, tendenciosly balck..
Here in Italy we call it "Falso Ebano", false ebano wood, becose is color changin with sun oxidation into a black chocolate. Rally Good Wood.
Here the contropart, it's color tending to the yellow-green...brown king...
this pieces i turned was 20 cm large for 10 high..

Thuya Occidentalis
Thuja occidentalis is an evergreen coniferous tree, in the cypress family Cupressaceae, which is native to the North east of the United States and the South east of Canada, but widely cultivated as an ornamental plant.
This pieces of wood came closed to Brescia, grow around 700 m.s.l. in the Pre-Alps Reason.
It has spectaclar contrast between sapwood and heartwood .
This pieces are arond 20 cm large for 18 and 12 cm high,
This wood have to look careflly before pt on the lathe,
i found often a crack pieces going inside really into it,
which easoly could explode while trning,
if you got some distraction point...

Elm Hollow
It's Elm - Always the same rotten trunk
30 cm Large - 20 cm High - Thickness less then 1 cm
it's the first hollow which the thickness it's all the same...
i'm incredible please about that...
becouse i dared,
and it was a success that nothing went wrong..
i Use Bowl Gouge how much how it could be used,
Then Rolly munrow which is superb Tool for Hollow,
i have to thank chuck Vicmarc 120 to keep it strong and balance in its place.

Italian National Walnut
A great smell turining it stick on you,
it's a Sunday Wood...
I found some nice trunks with colorful tongue,
i'm in a way hollow, usually took me around two week to clean me...
Next will came,
Tomorrow afternoon will be good, Foggy outside nerves got elettricity shaking on Turning...
unbalanced piece...
Still some scared me sometimes...
but jobs done, excited will not stopped....
Day Three and Four:
50 cm long - 30 cm large - 5 cm high
This is 9"large - 4"high
Thikness 1/4" everywhere...i'm surprize got it...No sending inside.
Finish with Mixed Oil..
Day Two
13" large - 5"high
Experiment.....i'm quite happy...
may be next time i w'll try to curve also the botton..

Elm and Pear
Got too tired,
Took me all the day, i'm still too slow turning....
but Elm was really hard, and i always keep My security Turning Way..
Not so fast Speed, always "Tallonando" with Bowl Gouge...
38 cm large
18 cm Tall...................around 15 "large, 7"tall...
Then Pear Wood,
Quality "Abate Pear" from Bassa Pianura Padana Bolognese...
Really too tired, back is in pain,
Nerves really stretched to the limit...
25 cm large - 8 cm tall
